ALBANY, Ga. — Dougherty County Police officers say that two vehicles, a Red Ford Explorer and a dark-colored Toyota FJ Cruiser, collided near the intersection of Lily Pond Road and Newton Road about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning. The force of the collision rolled the Explorer on its side, temporarily trapping the occupants.
Dougherty County Police Capt. Tom Jackson said that Andrea Kendricks of Albany was cited for failure to yield and two counts of a child safety seat violation stemming from the crash. Jackson said that Kendricks, who was driving the Explorer, pulled out in front of the FJ Cruiser, which was driven by Leah Byrd of Albany.
Both women were taken to local hospitals for treatment and were later released. The two children traveling with Kendricks received only minor injuries and were not hospitalized, Jackson said.

I hope everyone will be ok. I wonder if someone ran the stop sign or was just in to big of a hurry to wait for the oncoming traffic!
