ALBANY, Ga. — Anyone who wants to hear about efforts to eradicate gangs in Albany and Dougherty County is invited to the August meeting of the Gang Task Force at noon Thursday in the Government Center’s Room 120 at 222 Pine Ave.
According to Albany City Commissioner Jon Howard, this month’s meeting will include a six-month synopsis of police actions. The meetings offer residents opportunities to air concerns and learn about the city’s gang situation. Albany Police Department officers, Dougherty County Sheriff’s Department deputies, Dougherty County School System officials and elected officials attend the meetings.
