Police/Fire/EMS report for August 24, 2012

ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 57 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Armed robbery, two men stabbed and beat a man while robbing him, on the 1100 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Thefts by taking on the 2600 block of Dawson Road, the 1500 block of Westwood Drive and the 2500 block of Alberson Drive;

— Burglaries on the 1200 block of Eager Drive, the 1400 block of West Highland Avenue and the 200 block of South Davis Street;

— Forgery on the 2400 block of Clark Avenue and the 600 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Entering autos on the 1400 block of West Highland Avenue, the 1700 block of East Broad Avenue and the 800 block of Moultrie Road;

— Battery on the 1100 block of Eighth Avenue, the 1900 block of Schley Avenue and the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Flintside Drive;

— Forgery on the 600 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Motor vehicle thefts on the 700 block of Moultrie Road and the 200 block of North Broadway Street;

— Child molestation, address redacted;

— Recovered property on the 900 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Interference with child custody on the 600 block of Cotton Avenue;

— Vandalism (domestic) on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;

— Financial transaction card fraud (domestic) on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Child abuse (domestic) on the 1300 block of Fifth Avenue;

— Assaults (domestic) on the 2500 block of Cherokee Drive, the 300 block of Slater King Drive and the 600 block of West Second Avenue;

— Domestic issues (unfounded) on the 1300 block of Bonny View Avenue, the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue and the 800 block of Baldwin Drive.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 18 calls Wednesday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Burglary on the 400 block of Virginia Avenue;

— Animal investigation on the 3700 block of Parr Road;

— Unruly juvenile on the 3800 block of Sylvester Road;

— Vehicle crash on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;

— Battery, theft by taking and four counts of cruelty to children (domestic), on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 50 calls on Wednesday, including 40 medical calls and 10 trauma calls. Medical and trauma calls included, but were not limited to, eight chest pains, four miscellaneous pain calls, three mental health calls, 18 various medical calls, five vehicle crash victims and two falls.
