PINEHURST — Randolph Southern junior Madison Ragan threw her third one-hitter of the season and extended her scoreless-inning streak to 26 in Thursday’s 14-0, 4-inning win against Fullington Academy.
Ragan, who has a pair of no-hitters this season as well, also had 11 strikeouts and was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and three RBI. Others with big games at the plate for Randolph Southern (6-2 overall, 4-0 in GISA Region 3-A) were Parker Rigsby (3-3, 3 RBI, 2 2B), Morgan Lumpkin (2-2, 3 RBI, 2B), Beth Clark (2-4, 3 RBI) and Maegan Bonner (2-2, RBI).
SGA 6, TERRELL ACADEMY 1: Allison Warren pitched a complete game to lead the Lady Warriors (10-4 overall).
At the plate for SGA, Kendyl Carver was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, Baylee Everson was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Warren was 1-for-4 with two RBI.
WESTWOOD 13, GEORGIA CHRISTIAN 1 (4 INNINGS): Claire Collins was the winning pitcher and was 2-for-3 at the plate with four stolen bases for the Lady Wildcats (6-2, 3-1 GISA Region 3-AA).
Sage Sandefur was 3-for-3 with four SB, Lindsey Bowles was 2-for-3 with two doubles, Collins was 2-for-3 with a SB and Hannah Hinesley was 2-for-3 for Westwood.
