Vera Burnsed Searle

ANNISTON, AL -- Graveside Services for Vera Burnsed Searle, 90, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, at Andersonville National Cemetery (496 Cemetery Road; Andersonville GA 31711) with Rev. Erik McDaniel officiating.

Mrs. Searle died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL.

A 45-year resident of Albany GA, Mrs. Searle was a member of Porterfield United Methodist Church and the Hancock Sunday School Class. Her beloved husband of 63 years, Lt Col (RET) Joseph W. Searle, USAF, passed away in 2005, after which Mrs. Searle relocated to Anniston.

Mrs. Searle was the daughter of the late James California Burnsed and Ruth Cowart Burnsed of Effingham County, GA. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

She is survived by daughter, Cheryll Thomlinson and her husband, Chris; two sons, Joseph W. Searle, Jr., and Richard W. Searle and his wife, Kathryn; four grandchildren, Jonathan Searle, Jacob Searle, Sara Kathryn Searle, and Jill Goodman and her husband, Jerry; great-grandson, Alex Thomlinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
