BAINBRIDGE -- The Bainbridge boys basketball team opened the 2012-13 season Tuesday with a 63-42 win against the bigger Class AAAAAA Colquitt County Packers thanks to 18 points from Tyree Crump, 16 from Dontavious Marshall and 10 from Tim Shaw.
Bainbridge next hosts state-ranked Tifton on Friday.
TERRELL ACADEMY GIRLS 50, FULLINGTON 17: The Lady Eagles bounced back from a second straight loss to Crisp Academy to rout Fullington on Tuesday.
Maura Milliron led the way with 15 points, followed by Marilauren Farr (14). Fullington was led by Rachel McCleskey with six points.
TAE improves to 3-3 and next travels to face Tiftarea on Friday.
R-C BOYS 92, BAKER COUNTY 15: The Red Devils improved to 4-1 thanks to 26 points from Gary McCrae and 12 from Cornelius Bennett.
The Baker County-R-C girls game had to be rescheduled due to a conflict. No makeup date has been set.
Both of Randolph’s team return to action Saturday against Eufala, Ala.
SGA BOYS 70, GRACE CHRISTIAN 65: Cousins McKinley Chambless and Alex Chambless led the way with 28 and 19 points, respectively, and the Warriors improved to 4-1 after holding off a much-improved Grace Christian program, which was led by Phillip Bowen’s 27 points and 23 from Jack McCrae.
SGA returns to action Friday at Randolph Southern.
