TIFTON — Christmas caroling, music and candy-pulling will highlight the activities visitors can enjoy 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wiregrass Christmas at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
Events during the day will include caroling, the reading of Christmas stories and traditional Christmas and bluegrass music. A clogger jamboree will be 10 a.m.-noon.
The Wiregrass Farmers Market will be offering samples of Victorian desserts in the Historic Village farm houses starting at 1 p.m. There will also be crocheting demonstrations in the Gibbs House, cane grinding, open hearth biscuit-making and baking demonstrations and candy-pulling.
The Country Store will have samples of pound cake, tea cake and apple cider.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for children over four years of age. Children four and under are admitted at no charge.
Other Museum events during the holiday season include:
— The North Pole Express, 5 p.m.-8 p.m., Dec. 14-15;
— The Victorian Village by Candlelight, 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m., Dec. 16.
Tickets for both events must be purchased in advance at the Country Store.
The Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village will be closed from Dec. 17-Jan. 2 and the Country Store will be closed Dec. 22-Jan. 2.
