APD needs help finding armed wanted man

ALBANY — He’s in the area, could be armed and Albany Police Department officers want to bring him in.

According to a police notice from the Robbery- Homicide Unit, 20-year-old Travious Montreze Jackson is wanted for aggravated assault and five counts of armed robbery. Jackson’s last known address was on the 2700 block of Somerset Drive.

Police want Jackson for the Nov. 10 armed robbery of four juvenile boys and a 19-year-old woman on the 2200 block of Habersham Road. Jackson and his partners held the group up at gunpoint and got away with an unspecified amount of cash and a cellphone, reports said.

Officers previously arrested Nekovious Juan Taylor, 21, and Justin Rashun Lewis, 23, and charged them in the crime, according to APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks. “Jackson is the last one,” she added.

If anyone knows Jackson’s whereabouts, they should not approach him as he may be armed, officials said. Anyone with additional information is asked to call investigations at (229) 431-3288 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477). The Spanish-speaking APD-COP Tip Line is (229) 434-2677.
