ALBANY --- Five Rams scored in double figures, and the Albany State men's basketball team got its first victory of the season Friday night against Carver College, 93-68.
ASU (1-5), which has nearly a month off before its next game, was led by former Worth County star Jerome Hamilton, who scored 18 points and had a team-high six rebounds.
Albany native Andrew Covin (16 points), Justin Udi (15 points), former Bainbridge star James Lodman (11 points) and Aaron Hughes (11 points, 5 assists) also scored in double figures for the Rams, who forced 31 Carver turnovers.
ASU plays again Jan. 3 at Kentucky State in the conference opener for both teams.
