Carjacker steals Chevy and cash

ALBANY, Ga. — All 69-year-old William F. Gray wanted to do was take his friend to the hospital. An armed robber ruined that, an Albany Police Department report stated.

Gray pulled his 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche to the curb at 809 Cedar Avenue at about 6:25 a.m. Thursday. He touched base with his friend and then returned to his SUV, only to face a man with a handgun, the report added.

The robber stole Gray's wallet, cash and the SUV, the report said. Gray was uninjured, and police recovered the SUV at about 7: 30 a.m. Thursday.

Police are looking for a black man about 19 or 20 years old with dreadlocks, about 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
