ASHBURN -- The funeral services for the late Minister Curtis Davis of Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in Lakewood, New Jersey will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the New Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Minister Curtis Davis was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Mamie Lou Davis on September 3, 1941 in Turner County, Georgia. He was educated in the Turner County Public School System.

He worked as a truck driver for 40 years until his retirement. He moved to Manchester, New Jersey 2 years before settling in Lakewood, New Jersey, where he became a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church family. His passion for the Lord developed early in life, and he never stopped growing in Christ. He was a member of various congregations over the years as member, choir director, Sunday school teacher, treasurer, Deacon, and a Minister.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Curtis O. Jenkins, Jenaya A. Jenkins, Tanisha (Marcus) Turner of Manchester, New Jersey; stepchildren, Dawn (Michael) Moore of Albany, Georgia, Felicia Montgomery of Atlanta, Georgia, Icleda Jenkins, Mary Ann Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, all of Manchester, New Jersey, and Megan Montgomery of Washington, DC; 23 grandchildren.
