ALBANY -- Mae LaRose Brown Heidt, 79 of Albany, GA, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Albany, GA, Mrs. Heidt was retired from Life and Casualty Insurance Company as their office manager. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert L. Brown, Sr., and India Mae Hay Brown and her husband, James Barnett Heidt.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert L. Brown, Jr. (Ann) of Albany, GA, J. Lester Brown (Sally) of Dawson, GA, two nieces, Deborah Wheaton (Al) of Ball Ground, GA, and Selena B. Wilson (Grady) of Lee County, GA, two nephews, Graylon Brown of Littleton, CO, and Wesley Brown (Tammy) of Douglas, GA, six grand nieces, India Music of Douglas, GA, Rebecca Goff (Adam) of Valdosta, GA, Amber Hancock (Bubba Jeffcoat) of Albany, GA, Molly Brown of Fort Collins, CO, Bailey Wilson of Lee County, GA and Jennifer Millwood (Bobby), Americus, GA, six grand nephews, Chandler Wheaton (Sarah) of Dallas, GA, D.J. Hancock of Albany, GA, Steve Brown (Irene) of Douglas, GA, Chace Wheaton of Chamblee, GA, Paden Brown (Emily) of Castle Rock, CO and Grady Wilson, Jr. (Rebecca), Leesburg, GA, four great-grandnieces, Kincee Hancock of Leesburg, GA, Jubilee Wheaton of Chamblee, GA, Heather Hart of Leesburg, GA and Megan Sanford of Americus, GA and nine great-grandnephews, Tyler Music, Jacob Music, Gabriel Brown, Lucas Brown all of Douglas, GA, Maeson Goff of Valdosta, GA, Jay & Zach Sanford of Americus, GA and Parker and Caleb Wilson of Leesburg, GA.
