SYLVESTER -- Mrs. Mildred Reynolds Goff, 96, of Sylvester died Thursday December 6, 2012 at Pine Shadows Too Retirement Manor.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 8, 2012 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Providence Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating.
Mrs. Goff was born on August 3, 1916 in Turner County to the late Joseph Jefferson "Joe" and James Bertie "Jimmie" Shiver Reynolds. She had lived in Sylvester and Worth County most of her life. Mrs. Goff owned and operated Goff's Grill among other various employments. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting. Mrs. Goff was a very talented piano player and had a love of music and enjoyed dancing. Mrs. Goff was a member of Northside Baptist Church where she was very active with the youth.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Goff of Albany, Don Goff (Susan) of Snellville, Steve Goff (Jerri) of Sylvester; son in-law, Zeno Charles Douglas of Doraville; grandchildren, Theresa D. Marshall, Zeno Douglas, Jr. (Shannon), Jon Douglas (Ashley), Tamara G. Piercey (Paul), Vicki G. Glaze (Gerald), Jennifer G. Gardner (Jeff), Michael Goff, (Kathryn), Allen Goff (Shannon) and Ben Goff (Amanda); 21 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Gwen R. Knight of Leesburg and Joan R. Sinyard (Jimmy) of Albany.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goff was preceded in death by her husband John A. Goff on September 14, 1990, son Norman Goff on October 7, 1957, daughter Betty G. Douglas on October 31, 2012, daughter in-law Joyce M. Goff on July 21, 2011, granddaughter Leigh Ann Goff on December 25, 1967 and 2 sisters Ava Grace Reynolds and Dorothy Barfield.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
