Squawk of the day - Dec. 8, 2012

"Once again, the BCS never ceases to amaze me, for all the wrong reasons. How can you place a Florida team in the Sugar Bowl when the Gators didn’t even make it to the SEC Championship Game, and Georgia beat Florida earlier this season?"

The BCS is screwed up.That's all you can say. The football public well understands the national championship was decided in Atlanta. Everything else is downhill. Watch the ratings. What the hell, watch the games there won't be much football but it's the holidays and it's time to have fun.

Maybe go back to the old days when the conference champs played...us old timers remember when there was only the Rose, Cotton, Orange and Sugar all played on new years day..big 10 played the PAC 8..usually Ohio st and USC..now we have 35 bowl games...it's all about money and TV...

They did it last year too! Georgia deserves the Sugar Bowl, they are the next team. This is one of the original bowls, hence better than the dumb Capital One Bowl. It is going against the rules of the Sugar Bowl. Georgia won second and it should revert to them.

This Bama Girl (who does not like the Bulldogs and likes Mark Richt even less) thinks Georgia got hosed after it's loss to Bama (Roll Tide). Georgia did deserve and did earn a trip to the Sugar Bowl...

I wish all of the BCS bowls would have been matched up a little more fairly. According to the odds-makers we are going to see quite a few 2+ possession wins.

I hope not, that was my complaint from last years bowl games, too many blowout games, most games were unwatchable at halftime. In some cases some teams was already ahead 35-3 or somewhere in that neighborhood going into the 2nd half. Might as well change the channel or do something else. Nothing more entertaining than a nailbiter.

SEC fans knew going in that the loser of the Bama - Georgia game was going to be relegated to a menial bowl game. I am definitely not saying it is right, but it was expected.

The bowl in Orlando is a good one, the people in Orlando will treat the Bulldogs royally, but Georgia deserved better one of the first line bowls. The best thing the Dawgs can do is to go to there with a big chip on their shoulder and beat the snot out of Nebraska with no mercy, just like they beat Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl a few years ago. If the Bulldogs don't take this game seriously Nebraska can make it a tough one.

I think we've all already watched the REAL national championship game.

The BCS has never and will never give proper respect to teams in the SEC, except for Alabama, which never made sense to me but yet shows the true colors of the BSC. The ratings system is just as biased and messed up as the entire BCS is in general. That's how it is and will always be so we might as well just keep quiet and let it go.

The BCS will be replaced by the four team playoff beginning in 2014. Of course you will still have a selection committee, so we'll still have something to complain about.

Too many bowl games to start with. I hate that the National Championship game, as well as ALL other BOWL GAMES are not done by 1 Jan.
