MACON --- The Deerfield boys basketball team outscored host Tattnall Square, 29-9, in the second half Saturday to cruise to a 56-28 victory.
The Knights (3-0) were led by Deerfield star guard Ramello Carter, who scored 22 points.
DWS plays again Tuesday in Macon against Mount de Sales.
Casey Kincheloe scored 11 points to lead the Lady Knights, who fell to 2-3 after a 61-31 loss.
CRISP ACADEMY GIRLS 51, TIFTAREA 20: Madi Mitchell scored 27 points to lead the Lady Wildcats to an easy, 31-point lead.
Jay Jay Yawn also added nine points, and Kendall Wilson led the team in rebounding with eight boards and five points.
Crisp (8-1) plays again Friday at Tattnall Square.
SEMINOLE BOYS 72, WEBSTER 27: After leading by just two points at the end of the first quarter and by 16 at halftime, the Indians went off in the second half for 43 points and pulled away for the 45-point win.
Seminole County outscored Webster 23-12 in the third quarter and then 20-2 in the final eight minutes to improve to 3-0 overall.
Jamal Martin led Seminole with 15 points, while Robert Speights (13 points), Jordan Harris (12 points) and Shavon Wiggins (12 points) also scored in double figures.
Seminole plays again Tuesday at home against Randolph-Clay.
SEMINOLE GIRLS 66, WEBSTER 38: The Lady Indians jumped out to a 27-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back en route to their third straight win.
Seminole (3-0) was led by Alexus Watson (14 points), while Katrese Brown added 13 points and Kerra Shirley scored 11 points.
RANDOLPH-CLAY SWEEPS EUFAULA, ALA.: The Randolph-Clay boys basketball team (4-1) got 27 points from Gary McCrae and 11 points from Kwemente Parker to cruise to a 56-47 victory late Saturday, while Kaneika Washington scored a team-high 11 points, and Alicia Mathis scored 10 to lead the Randolph-Clay girls, who improved to 5-1.
