One of the few true freedoms we have is being allowed to name our children. If those names are acceptable to the parents they should be acceptable to us. I grew up with Isidor Ignacious. He was big and mean enough most folks called him Iggy the first time he asked them. If they didn't catch on the first time, he reminded them so they wouldn't forget the second time. He felt folks were insulting his parents when they made fun of his name. Back in those days, you didn't talk about someone's Momma without getting an attitude adjustment. It was his Grandfather's name, and he was right proud of it. So was his Father who would back up any action he might have taken at School to explain to folks why the name wasn't funny.

The difference is that his name meant something to him, it was his grandfather's name. What does Johntreavious mean? But.... you do have a point.

AuntieDee 1 year, 4 months ago

What's your real point about these names? Why do you even care? Some names have meanings and some don't. Parents pick names either because they liked them or for sentimental reasons or as part of a cultural tradition.

Of all the names in this jail log, why do you choose to comment about the names that end in vious? What are you really implying here? Ethnicity?

Ruby, Robert, Joseph, Garret, Jesus, Leigh Ann, and Megan are also named here. They are probably a part of different ethnic groups. However, , They ALL have something in common....they broke the law! Now we can group them all as criminals rather than by their names or ethnicity.

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 4 months ago

I prefer grouping them by name stupidity. Who mentioned ethnicity? You did, not me. I just mentioned name stupidity.

YEAH THESE NAMES HAVE MEANING ALRIGHT. THEY MEAN THE MOMMA LIKES GHETTO NAMES. STUPID MULTI-SYLLABLE MADE-UP TONGUE TWISTERS. YOU CAN'T DEFEND THIS LEVEL OF STUPIDITY.

I named my first niece, my second niece, and my third niece and all three have beautiful names,my fourth niece and nephew name came from the Bible and no none of their names are mainstream but all four are beautiful. and even though I was born over 40+ years ago, neither is mine. My nieces were named doing a time when Blacks wanted to create names that were not considered slave names, so we became creative. Now I must admit that some people (not just African Americans) have taken this to the extreme and need linguist before they saddle these children with some of these names that are spelled one way and the parents teach the children to pronounce them incorrectly and when the teacher pronounce it phonetically the teacher gets the dumb looks.

OKAY, I'LL GO ALONG WITH THAT.

Sister Ruby, that's my point. You didn't have to mention Ethnicity or race. That's how TRANSPARENT you are when blogging in this forum. Prejudice (against Blacks) is the tone of everything you write. Just about everyone knows that the names you mentioned are names of the African-American culture.

You singled out just those names. WHY? What have African-Americans Race done to cause you to persecute them? Why do you spend so much of your time being so negative and prejudice towards Blacks? In just about every blog that you have written in the past 6 months you have tried in every conceivable way to tear down the Black race. It doesn’t matter if you are blogging about the president, the government, the city, sports, etc. It’s like you think being African-American or “Black” is an illegitimate form of human existence.

Just like you, we are God’s people and we deserve respect. I really do not deserve your unfair treatment, your degradation, and your low blows. I am nice person who respects people of all races, colors and creeds. I am asking you to look at the man in the mirror and remember the “Golden Rule”. Do you really want people (black, white, red or yellow) to treat you like you treat African-Americans? You know what you give you get back and not always in the form in which you gave it.

Sister Ruby, try taking the “High Road” sometimes. I believe if you travel it enough you’ll begin to like it and you may even begin to like a few black folks in the process. We are not all bad people.

And for the record, I went to school with Caucasians with real names such as Bucephelus, Billy Bob, Bodean, Cletus, and Bubba. Those aren’t the cutest names in the world either. lol

Everything you said is incorrect. Everything. You have offended me and all my Black family and relatives. I will not condone everything a Black person does just because they are Black like many in this community do. I will not do it and you can talk mean to me all you want to. You might be my Sista but you sure aren't my Auntee.

1

AuntieDee 1 year, 4 months ago

I will not condone anything that is not right rather the person be black or white. AND I certainly would not degrade my people as you have. I would also be ashamed to be your Auntee, let alone your sista. But I don't , no wont believe for a second that you are black.. But if you are...reveal yourself and all your blackness.

Too bad you are offended. You don't seem to have a problem offending black people.

That's exactly why Obama won. All the stupid people were voting for stupid people. Thank God there is not that many of y'all. Whew...Romney would have won had there been. The American people have spoken up twice in the past 8 Years. No more ignorance! SMDH and ROTFLMAO.

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

I agree with you 100% on that .That is why Obama won, all the stupid people like you voted for Obama. You say no more ignorance, then why are you still being ignorant? Course then again coach, you've always been ignorant.

You say you went to school with people with names like Bucephelus, Billy Bob, Bodean, Cletus, and Bubba. what, no Betty Lou or Peggy Sue? But how many of those people by those names are in this jail report?

0

AuntieDee 1 year, 4 months ago

YOURE RIGHT They are not but their white brothers and sisters are named here. Just look for the ones with DUI, METH, child Pomo or molestation by the names. Better yet, watch the news. They are getting better about putting y'all's faces on there now. WALB doesn't discriminate as much as they did in the past. WFXL still does.

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

Course black people have been arrested for DUI, no insurance, no car registration, stolen car, METH, child porno and/or molestation, so don't pin that as a white persons crime, coach. In fact I had to do grand jury duty once and there was about 17 cases of child molestation and 16 of those were by black men. or rather black perverts.

NEXT WEEK THE FOCUS WILL BE ON THE "SKI" SUFFIX. JAWASKI, KAWASKI, DROMBOSKI, ECT....

0

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 4 months ago

Auntie Dee it's obvious that you think that Black people are only allowed to think ONE WAY, and that WAY is defined as whatever Jesse Jackson says that Black people can think and anybody else is just a Uncle Tom. Don't talk to me about Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Condoleeza Rice, etc etc etc. Oh and let's not forget My Brother Lawrence Knighton.

You go ahead and talk mean about me some more. Meanwhile I am done with that kind of thinking forever.

0

AuntieDee 1 year, 4 months ago

No Need to worry Ruby. I pick my conversations carefully. Those forementioned persons would be the least topics of my conversations, including Jesse Jackson.

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

Everyone would be better off if you picked no conversations, then we wouldn't have to look at your BS.

0

AuntieDee 1 year, 4 months ago

Too bad ignoramus. That is not about to happened. You don't have to look. Disappear!

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

Another coachjohnson username no doubt.

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Everybody who disagrees with you is not coachjohnson. He really must get in your head because anybody new is automatically coach johnson. Wow i need to be saying " get 'em coach". Lol

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

Because you come in here posting under several names coachjohnson42, bubbasmithredneck, badheavychevy, Auntie Dee and now waitforit. Why not just stick with one name and be done with it. What name will you use next?

It has absolutely nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing, but knowing your style and how you comment.

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Like i said every new name is not coach johnson. He has got a hold on you. I just simply commented "get 'em auntie dee" and all of a sudden you know me personally. Wow i didn't know you could see through computers. Maybe you and coach johnson need to meet on the playground. Im done wirh this one.

0

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 4 months ago

Don't you mean "I'm dumb with this one?"

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

Coachjohnson is the only one who constantly used that comment Get em Bubba or Get em whoever with an lol behind it. Odd you would do it the exact same way. I only told sister to get Auntie Dee because that is another one of coach's usernames and I said that to mock him. If you are not coachjohnson then why do you keep defending yourself? I've seen several new names on this board and never accused them of being coachjohnson, but when you have some idiot posting under 20 different names you wonder what is going through their minds and you learn their styles. Heck someone said I was the same person as Bulldawg, Ty Webb, Shinedownfan and even our friend Sister Ruby. I laughed it off. They are good people but I have always been VSU and no one else. unlike CJ42 who has to have multiple identities. See you coach!

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Yeah you are dumb. You got something right for once

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

And as for you VSU. You just went through a long drawn out spill defending yourself. Wow! Coach johnson didn't invent lol or the order in which words are used. They are words...that's all. Lighten up. Y'all take these little crappy sites and comments way too serious.

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

You still worried about this subject? I thought you said you were done with this... but obviously you are upset, you are the one that needs to lighten up. get over it. lol Maybe you are just upset because you got busted again otherwise you would not keep harping on it. See ya again coach.

BTW I was not defending myself. I don't need to, but you keep defending yourself if it makes you feel better.

Respond if you will, but as far as I am concerned subject is closed.

0

Sally_O 1 year, 4 months ago

coachjohnson didn't invent dumbazzes either but didn't stop from being one. Besiodes, VSU didn't say cj invented lol, but did say he is the only one that says go get em with an lol. Read the posts before you respond with inaccurate information.

DaneGlesak 1 year, 4 months ago

Ya'll leave Sister Ruby alone. She is not a racist person, she just likes having fun and I do too besides, naming a kid like parents have the last 10 years or so is a good thing. If they can spell their own name by the time they are in the 7th grade then they are already half way to gaining their degree at ASU! So parents.... make the names a little longer from now on and PLEASE keep using those AWESOME endings like arious.

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

And please keep using lol as well but be careful where you use it or you will be called coach johnson. Oh and silly o mind your business before you comment on a post. It was a and b so you and sista fat mouth can c your way out. Oh and vsu grow up dude

0

Somebody 1 year, 4 months ago

Yep, definately coachjohnson42. And you have the nerve to tell anybody else to grow up? You must be 12 years old. I take that back, 12 year olds act more mature than you do.

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Oh and silly o i didnt say go get em. I said get em so maybe you should read before dipping in with inaccurate information. Seems like coach johnson can pull y'all strings even when he is not around. Now that's funny. Lolololol. Is that good enough?

0

AuntieDee 1 year, 4 months ago

Wow did you read the names on Darton's graduation list Dane? Heck seems like the vious people yall refer to have already made it through there. But i forgot. Darton is just a junior College. it doesnt take long.

And talk about one track minds. Coach Johnson really has your friends' mind. They are obsessed with this man. Coach...you're bad man with some awesome power over these guys. You've got them so messed up that they can't even be rational. That explains why they think everyone that blogs in here is you.

0

Brother_Love 1 year, 4 months ago

You one sick individual as well.

1

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Somebody i think you may be 9 yrs old because "definitely" is a 6th grade word. You should pick your battles with people more if your intellectual level. Oops that word is too big for your pea brain. Get a dictionary!

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

Unbelievable! 1 day and 12 hours ago you said you were done with this post. Yet you are still running your mouth, since 1 day and 12 hours ago when you said you were through with this story you have posted 9 comments. you know what they say "It's better to keep quiet and let the world think you are an idiot than open your mouth and remove all doubt. Wow, I make one simple innocent comment and you act like a big crybaby. Would you like some cheese to go with your whine? You have the nerve to tell me I need to grow up, but look at yourself in the mirror. The person you see in the mirror is the one that needs to grow up. I thought I was through with this subject, but I come in and see you still pouting like a little spoil brat. Get over it! See you coach!

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Such an old played out saying. Is that all you have VSU? You obviously were not finished with it either because you came back on here. You cant stand not to have the last word. Well you got the new gold set of puppet strings. Congrats. And keep dancing for coach pea brain

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Coach you are a bad man. Wish i could meet you. You got these pea brained fools dancin

0

VSU 1 year, 4 months ago

Sounds perverted wanting to meet oneself . Only thing bad about you coach is your spelling. You ain't no better coach, you come up with the same old drawn out sayings, and you always have to have the last word. I really get under your skin don't I coach? Just ticks you off real bad you can't stand it.

I tell you what, I'll do you a favor, go ahead and respond so that you can have the last word since you want to be a baby about it. I promise not to come back to read your response, but I bet you don't have the balls not to respond, because you always want to have the last word.

It's been 1 day 15 hours since you said you were done with this and you are still crying about it. Can I offer you a tissue?

0

MRKIA 1 year, 4 months ago

I SEE WE HAVE SOME NEW ONES HERE.

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

You won ....i gave you the gold puppet strings. What else do you want? You are so original that you cant even come up with your own words. Poor thing reverse psychology doesn't work on me. Keep counting the hours and keep dancing like a little boy puppet. Pinocchio is that you? Lol

0

waitforit 1 year, 4 months ago

Come on puppet boy....B.K.A. (VSU). How long has it been? How many days? How many comments? Oh you can't count that high. And no i don't need your tissue because it's already full of your BS. Wipe your own nose with it.
