ELWOOD, IN -- Charlott L. Moore, age 92, and a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at her daughter's home in Alexandria following a brief illness.
She was born January 13, 1920 in Elwood, the youngest daughter of 10 children of David and Lottie (Cole) Perkins. She was a Homemaker. She was a 1938 graduate of Elwood High School, and later married Russel H. Moore on October 22, 1941. Charlott was a member of the Elwood Branch of the Jehovah's Witness. She enjoyed music, crocheting, and oil painting.
Her family includes son, Mark (wife Cynthia) Moore of Albany, GA; daughter, Nancy (Fiance Don Holloman) Saulmon both of Alexandria; 6 grandchildren, Tia Alexander, Christopher Alexander, Jason Alexander, Tricia Durden, Eric Moore, and Bethany Heath; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Durden, Kamryn Durden, Amber Terminstein, and Sasha Hicks; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Dillon, and Cecily; and several nieces and nephews.
Charlott was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years who died June 22, 2009, Russel H. Moore; daughter, Marianne Goul; granddaughter, Kimberly Rose Moore; and 9 siblings.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 10, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Elder Bill Houser officiating. Private burial took place in Forrestville Cemetery in Summitville.
Visitation was held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
