MONDAY'S PREP/COLLEGE HOOPS ROUNDUP: Terrell Academy boys, girls sweep Randolph Southern; Darton women see win streak snapped

SHELLMAN — In one of the highest-scoring games in either team’s recent history, Terrell Academy’s girls won a shootout with Randolph Southern (2-3) on Monday, 82-70.

Marilauren Farr scored a career-high 34 points for Terrell (5-3), while Kathryn Proffitt added 13, Maura Milliron notched 12 and Lauren Barfield chipped in 11.

Alana McCook led the Lady Patriots with 29 points, followed by 17 from Dana McCarter.

TERRELL ACADEMY BOYS 63, RANDOLPH SOUTHERN 50: The Eagles (2-4) won for just the second time this season, while the Patriots (0-3) still haven’t gotten on the board.

Raleigh Carlson led Terrell with 24 points, followed by 13 from Caleb Waters and 10 from Gable Freeman. Rhett Ragan led the Patriots with a game-high 29.

Terrell next plays in the Robert Toombs Christmas Classic on Friday against David Emanuel, while Randolph next plays at home Friday against Emanuel Christian.


DARTON WIN STREAK SNAPPED: The eight-game win streak by the Lady Cavs was broken over the weekend by Georgia Perimeter, 61-54.

Darton led, 30-26, at halftime, but came apart from there. Freshman Shronica Weaver led with 21 points. The Lady Cavs next play at Albany Tech on Wednesday.
