Officer assault trial postponed

After turning 34 in jail Monday, Rolando Dupree Frazier also had his trial on aggravated assault on a police officer, possession of a firearm by a felon and gang charges postponed until January due to scheduling conflicts, said a Dougherty County Superior Court official.

Frazier remains in Dougherty County Jail with six other suspects charged with similar crimes, said Chief Assistant District Attorney Matt Breedon. Albany Police Department Officer Daniel Glover was uninjured after Blood gang members opened fire on him on the 1200 block of East Residence Avenue on Aug. 23, 2011.

Others arrested in connection with the shooting were Roger Antonio Farmer Jr., David Leonard Stephens, Contravious Trinard Davis, Sean Bernard Frazier, Steven Bernard Washington and Michael Alfonzo Stephens.
