Ronald Taylor, 22, is carried out of an apartment at 1634 Pineview Avenue after being shot Wednesday morning. Detectives would like to question Octavious Clyde, a person of interest in the shooting.
ALBANY, Ga. — A 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the side at the Albany Homes rental complex at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to an Albany Police Department report.
Ronald Taylor remains in good condition at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, said a hospital spokeswoman.
Jailers took 25-year-old Boctavious Antwan Clyde through the booking process after detectives questioned him, said a Dougherty County Jail spokeswoman. He was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reports added.
According to police Clyde went on the run after shooting Taylor. With police on his trail and his name and description on The Albany Herald website, Clyde turned himself in at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Law Enforcement Center.
Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman said, “Detectives are also hoping to learn more about what led to the shooting from the victim.”
Taylor was shot in front of a residence at 1631 Pineview Ave., police reported. Less than a mile away at 2001 Leonard Avenue at Turner Elementary School precautionary measures put the building into lockdown for a couple hours to protect children, a school official said.
When emergency responders from Dougherty Emergency Medical Service arrived, Taylor was in the building and had to be taken down steps by gurney to the ambulance.
Police reported dealing with 20-firearm related aggravated assaults in November and six so far in December. “Assault with a firearm does not indicate an injury,” Banks said. “Someone can point a gun at a five people and that is five counts aggravated assault, firearm.”

we gotta give this boy one name he can stick with 'cause it confuses the Herald. Maybe just call him Clyde aka "Clyde the Tat" or such. Even got Ruby in a dither!

Well I had the generic correct at first, just missed the opportunity for alliteration.
Of course y'all reallize that's part of the "hidden agenda" of multiple stupid names. Keeps people questioning "do I have the right thug?" which gives them time to runnoft or excape.

Where is the outrage of the Black community? Another black youth shot, but instead of the outrage demanding prosecution they are allowing the criminal to hide among them.

I had my "Black" card revoked for asking the same type of questions. I asked why is it that Black folk only march and protest when its White on Black crime and remain silent as Black folk shoot and/or kill each daily? I was told that I was not Black and should join Rush or Hannity. Go figure.
