ALBANY – Several students graduated this fall from the Darton State College Nursing Program with Associate of Science degrees

They were recognized during the traditional Nursing Pinning Ceremony, which took place Tuesday at the Cavalier Arena. The students are now eligible to take the licensing examination to become registered nurses.

Albany area graduates are Laura Aquadro, Barbara Arnold, Randall Balkcom, Gail Bataille, Dusti Berard, Gayenell Bush, Kristin Carta, Charlotte Chintu, Celia Coleman, Jeffery Conley, Kimberly Crawford, Kelly Dorminey, Gerri Moore Davis, Shequanda Fisher, Renee Garvey, Thomas Griffin, Kendra Haas, Kristi Hasty, Kemitra Hawkins, Julia Hjort, Tammy Holloway, Bonnie Jernigan, Angela Kearbey, Charmaine Kidd, Porcia Laster, Tiffany McKibben, Thomas Mansfield, Gerri Moore, Heather Murray, Chandylor Peterson, Tamara Pierce, Christina Sanders, Chantal Thomas, Hope Todd, Iguebuike Udeze, Matthew Webb, Francene White, Sarah Wilcox, Yolanda Williams, and Janice Zipperer.

Graduates from Darton’s nursing program consistently have among the highest first-time pass rates on the licensing exam in the state. Darton State College’s program has provided more than 2,500 nurses to the Southwest Georgia area since the college opened its doors in 1966.
