Police/Fire/EMS report for December 22, 2012

ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 30 incidents Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Recovered property, a man running from K-Mart threw a black backpack filled with a black hoodie and calendars, in an area near 2500 Stuart Avenue;

— Information report: A man tried to pass a bogus $20 bill on the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road;

— Entering autos on the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 800 block of Baldwin Drive;

— Aggravated assault on the 500 block of Park Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road and the 1200 block of South David Street;

— Thefts by taking on the 2400 block of Commerce Lane and the 1100 block of East Roosevelt Avenue;

— Burglaries on the 2200 block of Flintside Drive, the 600 block of West Second Avenue and the 400 block of South Cleveland Avenue;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 700 block of West Second Avenue;

— Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana on the 2900 block of Phillips Road;

— Battery (domestic) on the 1500 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Domestic call (unfounded) on the 800 block of Cherry Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 15 calls Thursday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Family violence on the 5700 block of Newton Road, the 1400 block of South Mock Road and the 600 block of Gable Road;

— Animal call, woman bit by pit bull while on the 2000 block of Palmyra Road;

— Traffic arrest on the 3300 block of Gillionville Road.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 54 calls Thursday, including 46 medical calls, seven trauma calls and one assist with the Albany Fire Department. Medical and trauma calls included, but were not limited to, five respiratory calls, three chest pain complaints, three altered mental states, three diabetic issues, 26 various medical calls, one vehicle crash victim, one fall and one laceration.
