SYLVESTER — Carl Tweedy, 57, of 962 Pearson Road in Worth County, died from a gunshot after 11:30 p.m. Monday at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Worth County Coroner Johnny Johnson said.
Johnson would not say how many times Tweedy was shot. He said Tweedy’s wife, 52-year-old Jannie Mae Tweedy, was incarcerated in connection with the shooting.

Carl would come into the downtown post office every day. We always knew when he was in the building cause we could hear him laugh. He will be missed here.
