ALBANY -- Mrs. Bertha G. McDearmid, 89 of Leesburg died December 24, 2012 at Lee county Health Care in Leesburg, GA.
Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel with Interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. William E. (Butch) Knight officiating.
A native of Tioga County, NY, Mrs. McDearmid had lived most of her life in Southwest Georgia, and spent a number of years in Seminole Co., where she was saved and baptized at Spring Creek Baptist Church at Lake Seminole. She thoroughly enjoyed living and fishing at the lake, and will be remembered most for the love she gave to her family and especially her grandchildren. Mrs. McDearmid was so proud and blessed to have seen in her lifetime five generations born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. (Jake) McDearmid.
Survivors include her daughter, Walda Pitts and her husband Rodney of Leesburg, sons, Charles (Butch) Collins and his wife Cynthia of Albany and Henry Collins and his wife Fran of Marietta, sister, Vivian Blayda of Ithaca, NY, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
