Jannie Mae Tweedy was in the Worth County Jail on Dec. 26, 2012.
SYLVESTER, Ga. — Carl Tweedy, 57, of 962 Pearson Road in Worth County, died from a gunshot after 11:30 p.m. Monday at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Worth County Coroner Johnny Johnson said.
Tweedy’s wife, 52-year-old Jannie Mae Tweedy, was in the Worth County Jail on Wednesday facing charges in connection with the shooting, a jail spokesman said..
Johnson would not say how many times Tweedy was shot. He said an autopsy is scheduled for the body.
