BLAKELY -- Mrs. Diane Simpson Cochran, 55, passed away Thursday evening at the Pioneer Community Hospital of Early, in Blakely, Ga. Her funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Active pallbearers will be Billy Davis, Kevin Angell, Ray Enfinger, Mickey White, Ray Jordan and Darren Eubanks. Her grandson Austin Williams will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Cochran was born October 29, 1956 in Blakely, Ga. to Clarence James Simpson of Blakely, Ga. and the late Annis Baldwin Simpson. She was a retired accountant with the Early County Department of Family and Children Services. Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Wiley and by a brother, Clarence James (Buddy) Simpson, Jr.
Other than her father, she is survived by her husband, Herman Eugene Cochran of Blakely; a daughter, Angel Cochran Cooper of Blakely; 2 grandchildren, Austin Williams and Baxley Williams, both of Blakely; 4 sisters, Yvonne McCready & Jerry of Albany, Merle Cureton of Dothan, Al., Evelyn Phillips of Blakely and Nita Enfinger & Donald Ray of Blakely. She also has a brother, Jimmy Simpson and Peggy of Edison, Ga.
