Haven of Hope announces its first “Night to Remember” to celebrate the survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
The event begins at 6 p.m. today at Albany State University, ACAD Auditorium, 504 College Drive. The cost is $25 per person for $40 for couples.
The event plans to raise money to assist survivors needing jobs and supportive services for themselves and their families. Contributions provide the means to provide education, housing and emergency services.
The night includes speaker Pauline W. Mansfield, author of “The Turtle Story” and “The Chess Master,” spoken word performances by Atlanta’s David Ali and Albany’s Shewrightz and heavy hors d’ouvres.
