An area-wide family conference “As for me and my house” is being sponsored by First Baptist Church of Albany Feb. 23-26. Conference sessions include ones designed for couples and singles plus eXtreme Challenge for students and kidMANIA for preschoolers and children.

Special guests are Steve and Debbie Wilson of Marriage Matters Now with Georgia native John Waller serving as worship leader. Waller also will be in concert on Feb.25. The Seniors Ministry of Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church will host its third annual Sweetheart Extravaganza Fashion Show at 4 p.m. today. The event will be held at Robert Cross Middle magnet School. Seniors of Christian Life as well as other senior citizens in the community will participate in the modeling. Live entertainment is planned.

Gospel music at Spence Field is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Feb. 18 featuring Jerry Hamner and Family of Adel and Mandy Harrell of Albany. The sing will be at Maule’s Lakeside Hanger, 2099 South Georgia Highway 133.

New Birth Church will host a community blood drive today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church gym at 2106 Radium springs road. Each blood donor will have an opportunity to win free airline tickets. Hot food and refreshments will be available to donors. Also, trained childcare providers will be available.

St. Matthew Baptist Church in Leesburg will present its annual Men and Women Day service at 11 a.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Lorenzo Heard of Greater 2nd Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
