Astronomy series continues at Thronateeska

ALBANY — Thronateeska Heritage Center continues its astronomy series “The Best Galaxy in the Universe” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Wetherbee Planetarium, 100 W. Roosevelt Ave.

The film “Oasis in Space” will take participants on an exploration of the solar system and beyond in search for the key of life: liquid water. Also, the program will examine the constellations Gemini the twins and Monoceros the unicorn.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. for ticket sales and the program will begin at 7:15 p.m.. The discussion will be lead by staff astronomer Jim Friese. The program will conclude by 8:30 p.m.

Admission to the series is $3.50 plus tax per person. Members of Thronateeska and students of Darton College with I.D. admit for free. Seating is limited.

Program content is suitable for all age groups.
