Suzanne Williams of Family and Consumer Sciences will teach the class on recipes for a healthy home. The purpose of the program is to learn how to save money while also helping the environment and keeping your home clean.

One will learn how to wash clothes for 3 cents a load and create your own household cleaners with common ingredients, most already on hand in many homes. A green-cleaning recipe booklet will be distributed.

Other classes coming up are “The Lost Art of Baking” Series: Quick Breads, March 13; Yeast Breads & Rolls, March 20, and cakes, March 27. A Diabetes Cooking School is March15, 22 and 29.

Fees for the class are $10 per person and $12 at the door. (There is no charge for the diabetes cooking sessions.) Pre-registration is required.
