On this 2012 Valentine’s Day, the Albany Police Department and Cpl. Denise Barnes gave an evening filled with music, laughter, all kinds of cookies, fruits, pieces of fruit cup, punch and anything you’d need for a two-hour dance at Hudson Malone Towers.
All sick people and people in wheelchairs attended. Church people came in and got exercise, danced, laughed and enjoyed an evening of good fun. Sixteen policemen came and went during the two hours. They danced, got exercise and left. Only punch was served, and everyone enjoyed this event.
I’ve been to two of these events, and it seems our nation can forget politics when in a dance mood. I can say Hudson Malone Towers needs a dance every three months. I, at soon to be 92, danced with these policeman, and they are the nicest gentlemen. They are fantastic. Good for our city.
Cpl. Barnes and all the 2012 cadets gave this dance, and we thank them very much. The community room was all dressed up in red, white and blue and it was beautiful. Cpl. Barnes does a good job training these cadets.

Another good example showing APD is made up of a lot of people who have a heart and care about Albany and are not just going a Job. Thank You to Cpl. Barnes and all involved.
