ALBANY — The Albany State women’s basketball team’s conference tourney hopes are fading fast.
Paine College made sure of that Thursday.
The Lady Rams (8-16, 8-12) lost, 69-66, despite three players scoring in double figures: April Thomas and Symone Wilkerson (both with 15 points) and Breanna Fields (10).
The ASU men, meanwhile, kept their hopes of making the field in less than two weeks alive with a 91-79 win against Paine.
Jaren Harris (26 points), Rachard Lofton (16), Joshua Alford (16) and Marcus Benitez (11) led the way for the Rams (11-13, 10-13)
Both teams play their regular-season home finales Saturday against Claflin.
