TIFTON, Ga. — The Tift County Sheriff’s Office placed first recently at the International Associations of Chiefs of Police National Law Enforcement Challenge and finished second in the Georgia Governor’s Challenge.
These awards recognize the Tift County Sheriff’s Office’s excellence in traffic safety and its continuing commitment to saving lives.
Harris Blackwood, director of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, will present the awards to Tift County Sheriff Gary Vowell and members of his Traffic Safety/Education unit at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Tift County Law Enforcement Center.
