Jordan “J-Smooth” Brown made 22-of-25 free throws Saturday to capture his fourth Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot state championship in a row.
ALBANY — Albany’s Jordan “J-Smooth” Brown won his fourth consecutive Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot state championship in Covington on Saturday by making 22-of-25 free throws.
Jordan will represent the state of Georgia as he competes against the top shooters from Florida, South Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi on March 16 in Valdosta.
Jordan is one win away from advancing to the National Championship that will be held in Springfield, Mass. The winners of the National Championship will have their names listed in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.
Jordan said he is confident he can make 25-of-25 free throws to win the regional and national championships.
Jordan is a fifth grade honors student at Lincoln Fundamental Magnet School. Jordan is the son of Dr. Earnest and Gistacy Brown. He has one brother (Kofi) and one sister (Peyton).
