ALBANY On Saturday, Chehaw will be presenting a safari with a twist.
The 3rd annual Sip & Safari fundraiser to benefit the Wild Animal Park will be 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Saturday at a new location — the park’s new 40-acre safari exhibit. Chehaw is at 105 Chehaw Park Park.
“The event being held at Chehaw is a change from previous years, but we believe guests will be impressed with our new exhibit and will enjoy the change of scenery from Fowler Farm,” said Doug Porter, executive director of Chehaw. “We’ve appreciated the generosity of the Fowlers for allowing us to hold this event on their property in the past, but this year it’s time for Chehaw to show off its newest gem.”
Cocktails and safari are 5 p.m.-7 p.m., with dinner and dancing 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Attire is “safari casual” — khakis or jeans.
Tickets are $125 per person; seating is limited.
The event is sponsored by Heritage Investment Center, Procter & Gamble and Watson Spence.
