ALBANY The Albany State University Gender Studies Committee and Darton College Theatre Program will present “The Vagina Monologues” at 8 p.m. on March 1 at ASU in the ACAD auditorium at 8 p.m. on March 2 at Darton College in the Building J Theatre.
This event is to recognize V-Day, an awareness program to stop violence against women and girls globally.
Funds raised for this event will benefit Liberty House of Albany.
Liberty House was established in 1981 and is a non-profit agency in Dougherty County that provides services for domestic violence victims and their children, family and friends.
Liberty House is funded by federal and state grants, United Way, churches and private contributors. The agency provides service to 17 counties.
The vision of Liberty House is to work towards the elimination of domestic violence in the community and service area by providing emergency shelter, advocacy, education, awareness, community resources, and
