ALBANY Flannery, Travis Goodson and the G&S Band and a larger group of artists will all be featured at this week's Nights@Dtown event downtown, officials say.
The monthly arts, music and cultural event downtown is set for Friday, Downtown Manager Aaron Blair said.
The festivities will kickoff at 8 p.m. at the Silvers Building located at 114 North Washington Street.
Blair said this installment of the popular downtown event will feature graffiti artists, painters and other artists in addition to the musicians set to perform.
"Well we have our core group of artists that have been coming each time and we continue to add maybe one or two here and there, and (Friday) we're adding another two people so our artist lineup will be the largest that we've had."
Blair said he's gotten a lot of feedback from local artists and musicians who have participated in the event who have said they appreciate the opportunity to expose their skills to the community in a more relaxed and informal setting.
"I think it's gaining popularity. People really like the events," Blair said. "It's a kind of laid back event where people can showcase some of their talents and also talk to people."
Nights@Dtown is a free event, open to the public.
