Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday School this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.

EVENTS

Author Andy Andrews will speak at Sherwood Baptist Church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. His book “How Do You Kill 11 Million People” is on The New York Times bestseller list.

Also, Tally Wilgis of Captivate Church in Baltimore will be guest speaker at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Southwest district 8-2 HIV/AIDS program will host its fourth annual Singing for a Cure Gospel Fest at 3 p.m. today at Ebenezer Christian Center, 2325 S. Madison St. The free, public event will feature several local choirs and praise dance teams who will provide entertainment to bring awareness to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
