DAWSON -- James Nathan Goodman, 74, of Dawson, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 25, 2012. A visitation will be held at Dawson United Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. with the memorial service following at 3:00 P.M. Rev. Eddie Braswell, Rev. Mike Davis and Pastor Clyde Johns will officiate.

James was born in Cuthbert on June 18, 1937 to the late James Choice Goodman and the late Robie Thurman Roberts. He was a lifetime resident of Terrell County. James worked as a car hauler for Complete Auto Transit, was a member of the Graves United Methodist Church, and also attended the Dawson United Methodist Church.

James was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jesse Goodman. Survivors include his wife, Ann Robertson Goodman; stepmother, Trudie Mae Goodman; daughter, Teresa G. Boutwell (Wayne); stepchildren, Tim Pounders and Sandra Whitehead (Troy); brother, David Goodman; sisters, Carolyn Newton, Linda Cleveland, Delores Jennings, Mary Jordan, and Deborah Doss; grandchildren, Bryce and Reid Boutwell; and stepgrandchildren, Cheyenne and Katie Whitehead.
