ALBANY — Joshua David Hill, 22, who was wanted for stealing jewelry, was arrested at Monday Blackbeard’s B&B Bar-B-Que Restaurant on the 2200 block of North Slappey Boulevard, according to Albany Police Department reports.

Hill’s name, information and picture were published Feb. 24 in The Albany Herald as part of the weekly Albany Crime Stoppers Most Wanted list of fugitives. No information was immediately available as to whether Hill’s arrest came from a Crime Stoppers tip.

Police Theft Unit investigators reportedly developed information that Hill had sold or pawned jewelry stolen from a home on the 1700 block of Lynwood Lane on Feb. 2.

Sonya Johnson, police spokeswoman, said, “He can be removed from the ‘Most Wanted’ list.”
