CAMILLA -- Harry L. Daughtry, 73, of Stagecoach Rd., Baconton, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla. Judge Rick Brooker will officiate.

Born August 20, 1938 in Cotton, GA, Mr. Daughtry was the son of the late Clarence and Jesse Mask Daughtry. He retired from the U. S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was retired from the Mitchell County Public Works. Mr. Daughtry was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He was a loving granddaddy to his grandchildren, Matt Matt, "Sister" Drew, Haley Bug, and JayBird. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha D. Huey, a brother, Clarence R. Daughtry, Jr., and brothers-in-law, A.R. Jones and William Huey.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Helen Daughtry of Baconton; two sons, Terry Daughtry and wife, Carol, of Sylvester and Joel Daughtry and wife, Deirdre, of Tallahassee, FL; four grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Haley, and Jay; three sisters, Blanche Ingram and husband, W.R., of Tallahassee, FL, Imogene Jones of Pelham, and Lula Scott and husband, Doc, of Pelham; one brother, Joe Daughtry and wife, Mary, of Pelham; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Wednesday, one hour before services, at the funeral home.
