ALBANY -- The Albany Police Department responded to at least 25 incidents Monday and into the early hours of Tuesday. Reports included:
-- Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 2500 block of Belmont Drive and the 200 block of Cordele Road;
-- Burglaries on the 600 block of Kingsbury Lane and the 1700 block of Gadsden Drive;
-- Entering autos on the 700 block of Eighth Avenue and the 1800 block of Robinhood Road;
-- Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 2200 block of Grady Street;
-- Financial transaction card theft on the 500 block of Eighth Avenue;
-- Thefts by shoplifting on the 300 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 200 block of East Oakridge Drive;
-- Criminal trespass on the 1000 block of East Roosevelt Avenue and the 600 block of West Society Avenue;
-- Robbery by sudden snatching on the 1500 block of West Highland Avenue;
-- Injured person on the 1400 block of North Davis Street;
-- Thefts by taking on the 1000 block of Lee Street and the 1300 block of South Jefferson Street;
-- Recovered property on the 400 block of Forest Glen Drive;
-- Robbery, assault, on the 500 block of Swift Street;
-- Assaults on the 1700 block of Parker Avenue and the 1700 block of Oglethorpe Avenue;
-- Domestic dispute on the 600 block of Johnny W. Williams Road.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least six calls Monday, according to available reports. Incidents included:
-- Criminal trespass on the 300 block of Pine Bluff Road;
-- Traffic arrest on the 1400 block of Old Pretoria Road;
-- Traffic accident (deer) at State Highway 91 and Higgins Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 47 incidents from Friday through the early hours of Tuesday. Reports included authorized controlled burns, trash fires, smoke generated from grease on cooking equipment, unauthorized burnings, a Dumpster fire, a sprinkler system malfunction, a gasoline spill, downed power lines and a downed tree in the middle of a road.
