AMERICUS -- Deacon Ernest West of Sumter County died on January 3, 2012 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on January 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Old Shady Grove Baptist Church with interment at Staley Memorial Gardens.
