ALBANY — Starting your own business can be an expensive and risky venture. A lack of financial savvy can keep dreams of owning your own business from coming true. Learning more about how to manage your personal finances can help that dream turn into a reality.
The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service in Dougherty County is offering a free, basic personal finance workshop Wednesday for anyone interested in starting a business.
The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. and continue through noon. Refreshments will be served. The Extension Office at 125 Pine Ave.
The session will focus on spending plans, improving credit scores, setting and achieving goals, preparing for the unexpected and more.
