Substitutes? Well that would be putting them right back in charge of the children to teach them what? Getting caught is not so bad!! How about making them “Substitute” Janitors and giving the Janitor Staff a rest with pay?

Here is a novel idea--fire them outright and save the taxpayer's money!! The Dougherty County School Board is a joke.

If you followed the case of the English teacher you would know you can't reassign them. Neither the Principal nor the Superintendant can do that without getting over ridden by the Board. This results in prior or approved practice. Now that it has been established by the Board at a level three grievance, only the Board can change work assignments out of the norm. So unless the Board reverses itself, they won't be able to make those individuals work outside of their Contract terms without it being successfully challenged. Amazing what one little Board decision can do to a system isn't it?

If forced to report to the Admin Building every day at 9:00A to sit in a room with only tables and hard chairs and get a daily pep talk from Dr Murfree with occasional sermon from the most Rev James Bush, or a motivational speech from June Bug, I think perhaps their time will not be so pleasant. Let them eat a snack of Girl Scout cookies provided by Velvet , take one hour for lunch they have to buy, and back to it, each afternoon writing 2,500 times "I will not cheat next time if I survive this time"!
