Dr. and Mrs. William Gardner of Thomaston, Georgia,

would like to announce the engagement of their daughter,

Sarah Kristen Gardner, to Cameron Strauther Carlton, both

of Auburn, Alabama. Mr. Carlton is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Randy Strauther Carlton of Sasser, Georgia.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of Joan Gardner of

Thomaston, Georgia and the late Lawrence H. Gardner,

John and Tricia Fountain of Newnan, Georgia, and Ms.

Nancy Hall of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Miss Gardner is a 2006 graduate of Upson-Lee High

school in Thomaston, Georgia and a 2010 graduate of

Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science degree in

Early childhood/Special Education. She is currently

pursuing a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders

at Auburn University.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Lavania Carlton

and the late Mr. Straud Carlton and Mrs. Iris Alderman and

the late Mr. Leo Alderman all of Albany.

Mr. Carlton is a 1998 graduate of Lee County High

School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia

with a Masters in Environmental Health Science. He is a

Certified Industrial Hygienist currently employed by the

United States Army at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia.

A May 19th wedding is being planned at Moore’s Mill

Country Club in Auburn, Alabama.
