Mr. and Mrs. Gary Long of Albany, GA are pleased to

announce the engagement of their daughter Kristy

LeAnne Long to Matthew Keith Allen, both of Cartersville,

Georgia. Matthew is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph

Allen from Saratoga Springs, New York.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late William

and Helen Rohrs of Albany and the late Bobby Long and

Ruedell Long, also of Albany.

Miss Long is a 1997 graduate of Albany High School.

She went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in

Psychology from the University of Georgia, a Master’s of

Education from Albany State University and an Education

Specialist from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee.

She is currently in her 8th year as a guidance counselor at

Cass High School in White, GA.

The bridegroom is the grandson of the late James and

Lenora Allen of Hazel Hurst, PA and the late Thomas and

Marie Lancaster of Albany, NY.

Mr. Allen is a 1996 graduate of Saratoga Springs Senior

High School. He earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Education

and a Master’s of Science in Special Education from the

State University of NY at Potsdam and then an Education

Specialist from Lincoln Memorial University. He is currently

in his 10th year as a Social Studies teacher/department

head at Cass High School in White, GA.

A March 31st wedding is being planned at Avalon

United Methodist Church in Albany, GA.
