NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Luke Bryan's record label, Capitol, announced today that his single "I Don't Want This Night To End" has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The single is in the country music Top 5 and is climbing, selling more than 128,000 downloads in the past week. Capitol says it was the Leesburg native's highest ever digital track sales week.
The gold single follows his Platinum "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)." Both songs are on his gold-certified album "tailgates & tanlines."
In 2011, Capitol says, Bryan, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift were the only artists to have to have multiple singles sell over 100,000 tracks within a week's time.
Bryan is set to hit the road with Jason Aldean on the 2012 leg of his My Kinda Party Tour, which kicks of Jan. 20 in Greenville, S.C.
