ALBANY, Ga. — Albany Police Department officers have discovered video surveillance of an armed and dangerous shooting suspect.

An unknown black man pulled out a gun at about 7 p.m. Monday at 211 Pine Bluff Road and fired a shot at one member of a group at the address, stated an Albany Police Department report.

Witnesses described the suspect as in his 20s, about 6 feet 1 or 2 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, having a dark complexion and beard. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, dark pants and a doo-rag over his head.

From witness’ reports, officers backtracked the suspected shooter’s trail from Pine Bluff Country estates to a Fast Lane Convenience store about six minutes away by foot, reported Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman.

On the store’s surveillance tape a man fitting the description and carrying a greenish messenger bag on his side bought items at the store.

The officers found their suspect’s pictures and video.
