DOUGHERY COUNTY -- An investigation is continuing into an incident that resulted in someone getting hit by a car Saturday afternoon.

Just before 5 p.m. Saturday on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road, the victim in the case advised that three males attacked him and punched him, causing bruising and lacerations to his body, a Dougherty County Police Department shift report said.

The victim, who was not identified in the shift report, said he recognized one of the offenders as a subject that he confronted about some thefts. The victim further stated that the subjects intentionally struck him with their green Ford Explorer as they were leaving the scene.

The victim refused medical treatment. The investigation into the incident continues, and charges are pending identification and interviews with the offenders.

Meantime, the Albany Police Department responded to at least 45 incidents Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday. The reports included:

-- Domestic dispute (unfounded) on the 900 block of Wheeler Avenue and on the 300 block of Station Crossing Drive;

-- Missing person on the 300 block of Enterprise Drive;

-- Missing juvenile on the 2500 block of Crescent Drive;

-- Criminal trespass on the 100 block of Wells Avenue and on the 400 block of South McKinley Street;

-- Suicide attempt on the 500 block of South Madison Street;

-- Burglary on the 500 block of Willard Avenue and on the 500 block of Swift Street;

-- Recovered property on the 1500 block of West Fourth Avenue;

-- Entering auto on the 200 block of South Ingleside Drive and on the first block of Dobbs Drive;

-- Theft by taking (domestic violence) on the 600 block of Bonnyview Avenue;

-- Battery on the 500 block of West Residence Avenue;

-- Public indecency (saggy pants) on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way;

-- Disorderly conduct on the 100 block of North Cleveland Street;

-- Theft by taking on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way and on the 300 block of South Mock Road;

-- Assault (domestic violence) on the 1700 block East Broad Avenue;

-- Simple battery on the 1300 block of Mobile Avenue;

-- Assault on the 100 block of Patrol Drive and on the 1900 block of Riverview Circle;

-- Rape on the 500 block of Cotton Avenue;

-- Obstruction of an officer on the 1500 block of Dawson Road;

-- Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

-- Recovered motor vehicle on the 2000 block of Clark Avenue;

-- Injured person on the 700 block of Mobile Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Doughetry County Police Department responded to at least 24 calls Saturday and Sunday, according to available reports. The incidents included:

-- Family violence on the 3100 block of War Eagle Avenue;

-- Criminal trespass on the 1300 block of Dorough Avenue;

-- Battery on the 2800 block of Spelman Drive;

-- Family violence (verbal) on the 400 block of South Westover Boulevard;

-- Traffic accident (injury) on GA 91 just south of GA 62;

-- Burglary on the 6100 block of Elliott Drive;

-- Missing person found on the 1700 block of East Broad Avenue;

-- Wanted person on the 1700 block of Mock Road.
